- Information from Use of Service: We collect information about your interactions with the Service. We use a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) that anonymizes your IP address and does not use cookies to track you across sites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
- Send transactional emails, such as password resets or security notifications.
- Generate story and illustration content by processing your prompts through our AI infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Service.
- Protect the security and integrity of our Service.
3. Third-Party Data Processors
We share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who need access to your information to carry out work on our behalf. We have carefully selected our partners to ensure they are committed to privacy and security. Our current processors are:
- Hetzner: (EU-based) Provides our primary compute infrastructure. Our application and database run on Hetzner VPS servers located in the European Union, ensuring that core application data is hosted within the EU.
- Resend: (US-based) Our mailing provider used for sending transactional emails to you.
- Cloudflare: (US-based) Provides multiple critical infrastructure services for our platform: DNS management, CDN caching, and application security (DDoS protection and WAF) to protect our Service from malicious activity; Cloudflare Tunnel for secure Zero Trust routing of traffic to our servers without exposing them directly to the internet; Cloudflare R2 for object storage of all media files including story illustrations and user avatars; and Cloudflare Workers AI for AI model inference, including story text generation, image creation, audio transcription, and content moderation. Your prompts and generated content are processed through Cloudflare Workers AI.
- Umami: (EU-based, self-hosted) Our analytics provider. We use Umami for website analytics in a privacy-preserving manner. It does not collect personally identifiable information or use cookies.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to help protect the information we collect. However, no electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, educators) to create stories for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.
6. Your Rights
You have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you. Acount data may be edited or deleted from the account details page.
